Job Description Responsibilities Provide day-to-day database support for the CCTI/CCP data warehouse environment Assist with troubleshooting of system and application performance related issues and recommend fixes Provide support for data replication between production site and disaster recovery site Provide support for performance testing the CAE and CCP applications Other duties as assigned Projected Level of Effort Qualifications Ability to work off-hours and weekends when necessary 3 – 5 years of hands-on DB2 UDB experience in an AIX environment Realistic, practical, real world database administration skills/experience Experience reviewing SQL to address performance problems Strong Unix skills Command line processing Reading, writing, executing, troubleshooting user scripts Microsoft Office experience in, at a minimum, Outlook, Word, Excel Comfortable receiving instructions from lead DBA and then working independently The internal drive, intellectual curiosity, ability to learn, and desire to help the customers succeed Strong technical skills Comfortable working under Project Manager supervision Ability to work proactively Experience, from a database perspective, dealing with Websphere Application Server, Server, MQSeries and Cognos Understanding of database backup processes and recovery processes Experience with Q-Replication Experience in Performance monitoring/testing COGNOS applications Experience with DPF (Data Partitioning Facility).
