Senior Accountant / Project Accountant Location: Austin, TX 78754 Work Arrangement: On-Site Salary: $75,000–$110,000 + discretionary bonus Industry: Fire & Life Safety / Commercial Services A growing, private-equity-backed fire and life safety company is seeking a Senior Accountant / Project Accountant to join its Austin accounting team. This is a hands-on opportunity to join a growing organization that is actively acquiring and integrating businesses and building out its accounting infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a doer who enjoys working independently, digging into the numbers, and improving processes. Responsibilities: Own key aspects of the monthly close, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations Perform job costing, WIP reporting, and project accounting Handle percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and AIA billing Analyze project margins and investigate variances Support AR/AP, billing, and collections Prepare financial reports and account reconciliations Assist with audits and financial reporting Identify opportunities to automate and improve accounting processes Support the transition from QuickBooks to NetSuite Assist with acquisition integration and accounting process improvements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 4+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong U.S. GAAP and month-end close experience Strong journal entry and balance sheet reconciliation skills Construction/project accounting experience — required WIP, percentage-of-completion, job costing, and AIA billing experience — required Advanced Excel skills Self-motivated, analytical, and comfortable working independently Preferred: Public accounting/audit experience NetSuite experience QuickBooks experience CPA or CPA candidate ERP implementation or acquisition integration experience Why This Opportunity?
