Bookkeeper with Construction Industry Background

Bookkeeper (Remote) Duties and Responsibilities Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions in accounting software. Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial reports for management review. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial statements. Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Track invoices, expenses, and payments to ensure timely collections and disbursements. Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and construction industry regulations. Assist in preparing documents for tax filings and audits. Coordinate with project managers to track costs and profitability for construction projects. Perform other finance‑related tasks as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. At least 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role. Familiarity with the construction industry and job costing is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting software. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Strong English communication skills – reading, writing, speaking. High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Tech‑savvy with knowledge of cloud‑based accounting tools. Technical Requirements USB headset with noise cancellation. Working webcam. Main and backup computer: at least 1.8 GHz processor with at least 4 GB RAM. Main internet service: at least 25 Mbps wired connection. Backup internet service: at least 10 Mbps.
