Duties

• Measure and interpret construction plans and technical drawings to determine installation requirements.
• Handle glass materials safely, including cutting, fitting, and securing mirrors and shower doors according to specifications.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively to install fixtures, trim carpentry elements, and secure glass components.
• Perform heavy lifting of glass panels and fixtures while maintaining safety protocols.
• Apply caulking, sealants, and trim to ensure water-tight seals and professional finishes on all installations.
• Read blueprints and construction plans to accurately execute installation steps on-site.
• Conduct quality control measurements to verify proper fit, alignment, and finish of installed fixtures.
• Collaborate with team members to fabricate custom glass components as needed for remodeling projects.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, materials, and debris throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills

• Proven experience in mirror, shower door, or glass installation within construction or remodeling settings.
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings.
• Proficiency with hand tools such as drills, saws, levels, measuring tapes, and caulking guns; familiarity with power tools is essential.
• Ability to handle glass materials safely during fabrication and installation processes.
• Skilled in window installation, fixture mounting, metal stud framing, and trim carpentry techniques.
• Experience with construction site safety protocols and heavy lifting procedures.
• Excellent dimensional measurement skills for quality control purposes.
• Hands-on experience with fabrication processes involving glass materials and metal framing components.
• Knowledge of remodeling practices including fixture installation and drywall finishing is a plus.
