Job Description: Inventory Control Specialist

Position Summary

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, managing stock processes, and supporting operational efficiency through effective inventory control practices. This role ensures proper tracking, reporting, and reconciliation of inventory across systems while coordinating closely with customer service, sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management & Reporting

• Generate and maintain detailed inventory reports to monitor stock levels, trends, and discrepancies
• Analyze inventory data to support operational planning and decision-making
• Manage revolving inventory processes to ensure continuous accuracy and availability

Cycle Counts & Accuracy

• Plan and execute cycle counts in accordance with established procedures
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during the cycle count process
• Maintain accurate inventory records through consistent auditing and reconciliation

ERP & Systems Management

• Manage and maintain inventory processes within the ERP system
• Identify and resolve system-related inventory issues

Procurement & Replenishment

• Create and manage replenishment orders to maintain optimal stock levels
• Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and ensure timely replenishment
• Source, evaluate, and vet new vendors based on quality, reliability, capacity and pricing
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to secure cost-effective agreements

Estimating

• Learn to estimate print projects and kitting projects, developing skills to support the company’s ongoing growth.
• Partner with senior estimators to build proficiency in pricing, specs, and turnaround for both categories over time

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cycle count programs and inventory auditing
• Knowledge of Pace EPS
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Work Location and Hours

This role requires a Monday through Friday full-time presence at our headquarters located in Gastonia, NC, just outside of Charlotte, NC
