P-Speech Language Pathologist

Position Speech Language Pathologist-Geriatric Compensation & Scheduling Salary range: $39.50-$44 per hour. Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday with weekend rotation. Facility 82-bed long-term care facility. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents' communication and swallowing abilities. Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and resident goals. Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve speech, language, and swallowing skills. Monitor resident progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans. Provide education and training to residents, family members, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care for residents. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Experience working with geriatric population preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Basic computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records.
