CNC Machinist – Aerospace Components (3, 4 & 5 Axis)

Join a cutting-edge team of CNC Machinists, NC Programmers, and Technicians shaping the future of spaceflight. You'll operate and maintain world-class 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machinery to produce high-precision aerospace components. This hands-on role emphasizes technical skill, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence on tight-tolerance, high-value parts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setup, operate, and maintain CNC machines including mills and lathes (3, 4, 5-axis & multi-axis)
• Perform hands-on programming and machining for aerospace-grade parts
• Collaborate with engineering to develop and document machining processes
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T to ensure high precision and quality
• Provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) feedback
• Ensure quality control and conformance to engineering specifications
• Operate machines such as Mazak, Kuraki, Hermle, DMG Mori, etc.
• Utilize CNC controls like Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, or Mazatrol
• Maintain a safe and inclusive working environment
• Use computers to manage setup sheets, documentation, and quality records

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience in aerospace or precision industries
• Hands-on experience with materials such as Inconel, Monel, Titanium, Copper, Aluminum
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T (ASME Y14.5M-1994)
• Familiar with Mastercam, Unigraphics NX, and CMM operations (a plus)
• U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required

Preferred:

• Tooling and fixture design
• VTL (Vertical Turning Lathe) experience
• Experience with plating, heat treat, EDM, coating, or grinding
• Forklift or crane operation skills
