Fire Alarm InspectorLocation: Apex, NC Job Type: Full-TimeJob SummaryWe are seeking a Fire Alarm Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on fire alarm and life safety systems in commercial, industrial, and residential facilities.The ideal candidate will have knowledge of fire/life safety systems, NFPA requirements, and industry safety standards, along with strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on fire alarm and life safety systems.Inspect, test, and clean system components while verifying proper functionality.Identify and diagnose issues with fire alarm and life safety systems.Provide customers with instruction on system operation and functionality.Communicate inspection findings, deficiencies, and recommendations to customers.Complete and submit required inspection, service, activity, and productivity documentation accurately and on time.Ensure all work is performed in compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.Follow all company safety policies and procedures.Properly maintain and care for vehicles, tools, lifts, and other equipment.Manage assigned work efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.Previous experience with fire alarm inspection, testing, service, or maintenance preferred.NICET Level I or higher is a plus.Knowledge of fire/life safety industry regulations and best practices.Knowledge of applicable NFPA codes and requirements.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites as required.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and work on your feet for extended periods.Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.Comfortable working in commercial, industrial, and outdoor environments that may include noise, dust, heat, low-light conditions, and other challenging conditions.Ability to use hand and power tools for cutting, grinding, drilling, fastening, and other service-related tasks.Ability to use appropriate fall protection and other safety equipment when required.Benefits & Career GrowthCompetitive compensation.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Retirement plan options.Life and disability insurance options.Paid time off.Training and professional development opportunities.Company-provided tools and equipment.Opportunities for career advancement and additional industry certifications.Benefits PEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
