Psychiatry Physician Assistant

A healthcare organization in Connecticut has a great Locum opportunity awaiting a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant to provide adult psychiatric care within a structured inpatient setting and support an interdisciplinary treatment team.

About the Opportunity:

Shift: Day shift
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: Standard business
Setting: Inpatient behavioral health unit

Responsibilities:

Provide psychiatric care for adult patients in an inpatient behavioral health setting
Evaluate and manage patients presenting with mental health crises, mood disorders, and substance use concerns
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to support coordinated treatment planning
Maintain a consistent caseload and document patient care in accordance with clinical standards
Deliver weekday coverage with no weekend or on-call requirements

Qualifications:

Current licensure or eligibility to practice as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
Experience providing psychiatric care in an inpatient or behavioral health setting
Experience working with adult patients

Desired Skills:

Experience supporting patients with substance use disorders
Familiarity with interdisciplinary inpatient psychiatric care teams
