Psychiatry Physician Assistant

A healthcare organization in Connecticut has a great Locum opportunity awaiting a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant to provide adult psychiatric care within a structured inpatient setting and support an interdisciplinary treatment team.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: Inpatient behavioral health unit
Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric care for adult patients in an inpatient behavioral health setting
- Evaluate and manage patients presenting with mental health crises, mood disorders, and substance use concerns
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to support coordinated treatment planning
- Maintain a consistent caseload and document patient care in accordance with clinical standards
- Deliver weekday coverage with no weekend or on-call requirements
Qualifications:
- Current licensure or eligibility to practice as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Experience providing psychiatric care in an inpatient or behavioral health setting
- Experience working with adult patients
Desired Skills:
- Experience supporting patients with substance use disorders
- Familiarity with interdisciplinary inpatient psychiatric care teams
