ICU – Registered Nurse

Schedule: Shift: 7a-7p / 7p-7a - 3x12s, variable shifts scheduled as needed; every other weekend; holidays included.

Assignment Details: Contract Length: 14 weeks Guaranteed Hours: Full-time

Requirements:

• License: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation; Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire; CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association recommended within 2 years of hire; TNCC recommended within 2 years of hire.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion; excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; computer literacy preferred, particularly with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in an ICU setting, monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and document patient progress.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards of care.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for patients and families.

Compliance / Notes:

- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications must be current according to the RQI system during orientation.

- Basic Coronary Care and CPI certifications must be completed within specified time frames.
