Physician Assistant University of Illinois at Chicago Department of Emergency Medicine OSF Little Company of Mary site 2800 W. 95th, Chicago, IL The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking a full time Physician Assistant. Physician Assistants will work at our OSF Little Company of Mary site where we are looking to complete an already excellent group of APPs and physicians working together. The hospital is located in Evergreen Park on the south side of Chicago, addressing the needs of an underserved population. The Emergency Department is newly renovated and also serves as a core site for the UIC Emergency Medicine Residency. The budgeted base salary range is $125,901 - 158,823 commensurate with qualifications and experience, and aligned with internal equity. This position is intended to be eligible for University Benefits. Minimum Qualifications Include Graduation from an accredited PA program with Masters of Doctoral Degree in Medical Science. Current license as a Physician Assistant in the State of Illinois required. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required. Current controlled substance licensure required. Current National Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Effective communication skills (oral and written) that facilitate therapeutic relationships between physicians, APRN and PA providers as well as college and hospital leadership and the multi-disciplinary team. Demonstrated experience in leadership, multidisciplinary collaboration, interpersonal communication, education, clinical experience and change management required. Documentation in the medical record to substantiate accurate billing. Having PA experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care settings is preferred. All physician assistants caring for children in the emergency department and fast track/urgent care area shall have documentation of a minimum of 16 hours of continuing education in pediatric emergency topics every two years that are approved by an accrediting agency preferred We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package including CME.
