Life as a Front Desk/ Activity Desk Agent:Books guest reservations and/or coordinates with reservation centerRegisters guests into the hotel in a prompt and courteous manner using up-selling techniques to maximize room rates; prepares for group check-ins, check-outs, and VIP arrivalsGreets, registers, and assigns rooms to guestsHandles confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrityAnswers and routes call as appropriate; takes guest messages with accuracyResolves minor guest complaints to the satisfaction of the customer; informs supervisor of major problems, complaints, disturbances or unhappy guestsRespond quickly to guest requests or complaints in a friendly manner and appropriate action is taken. Follow up to ensure guest satisfactionActivity Desk Associate - is responsible for promoting an exceptional overall customer experience, encouraging participation in rentals and tours, knowledgeable of Oahu North Shore and the Hawaiian Islands to include but not limited to:- Pool deck, umbrellas, day beds, cabanas, lounge chairs, courtyard seating area (arrange, assemble, maintain cleanliness and ensure safety)- Beach/pool towels (distribute, receive, launder, inventory)- On-site games and rental items (organize, inventory, maintain cleanliness)- Plan, schedule, coordinate tours and activities- Organize correspondence and documentationWhat we're looking for:High school diploma; or 1-3 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experienceGood understanding of procedures and practices in the hospitality industryExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsThe ability to provide exceptional customer serviceGood leadership and training abilitiesWhat to expect in your first few months:First you will learn about the hotel and all of our amenities!
