Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Night Shift | Rutherfordton, NC

Location: Rutherfordton, NC
Schedule: Night Shift | On-site

We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night-shift position in Rutherfordton, North Carolina . The Respiratory Therapist will provide safe, effective respiratory care and respond to patient-care needs in an acute healthcare setting.

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments, lung-capacity testing, blood-gas analysis, and EKGs as ordered.
• Deliver ordered respiratory therapies and monitor, document, and communicate patient response.
• Respond to codes and emergent calls during the night shift.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and device use.
• Maintain respiratory supplies, medical-gas cylinders, equipment readiness, and storage areas.
• Clean, sterilize, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on respiratory equipment.
• Follow respiratory-care policies, patient-safety standards, and quality-improvement practices.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in North Carolina.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current PALS certification.
• Current NRP certification.
• Ability to work an on-site night-shift Respiratory Therapist schedule in Rutherfordton, NC .
