Job Details Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Specialty: Pediatric Critical Care / PICU / NICU Float Pool Setting: On-site travel nursing assignment Location: Charlottesville, Virginia Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020-$2,130 Assignment Length: 16 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shifts Hours per Week: 36 Schedule: Every other weekend; flexibility required for unit coverage needs Start Date: 09/14/2026 Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse license; pending Virginia RN license may be considered if obtained before the required start window Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience required Prior NICU experience required; previous PICU/NICU float pool experience is a plus Experience with Epic charting required Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required Infant-Driven Feeding Certificate required, with the option to submit while pending Ability to work nights, float across pediatric units, and adapt to changing patient needs BSN preferred Travel nursing experience preferred Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to pediatric, neonatal, and critically ill patients across multiple units Float as needed to PICU, NICU, Pediatric ED, Acute Pediatrics, and occasionally L&D or Mother/Baby Support patients requiring advanced monitoring, respiratory support, and complex pediatric interventions Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, child life, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver family-centered care Accurately document patient care in Epic and maintain strong clinical communication Respond confidently to changing census and acuity while maintaining excellent patient outcomes Follow float policies, safety standards, and unit-specific best practices Why Consider This Travel RN Opportunity?
