Job Details Position: Pediatric RN – Travel Float Pool Location: Charlottesville, VA 22908 Healthcare Setting: Pediatric float pool supporting multiple inpatient, critical care, and emergency care areas Start Date: 09/14/2026 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: 12-hour day shifts Hours: 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130 Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and every other holiday Floating: Required to PICU, NICU, Pediatric ED, Acute Pediatrics, and occasionally L&D and Mother/Baby Charting System: Epic License: Virginia RN license may be pending at submission and must be active by the required deadline before start Job Requirements 2 years of PICU experience required Strong NICU experience required; comfort with acute pediatrics and Pediatric ED patients is essential Previous pediatric float pool experience is a plus Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certification required Infant-Driven Feeding Certificate required or may be submitted pending per assignment guidelines Epic experience required Ability to care for neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent patients across a variety of acuity levels Travel nursing experience preferred BSN preferred Responsibilities Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care across pediatric critical care, neonatal, acute care, and emergency settings Monitor and manage patients with complex medical and surgical needs Support high-acuity care including ventilator support, hemodynamic monitoring, and medication administration Provide care for patients in PICU, NICU, Pediatric ED, and Acute Pediatrics as assigned Assist with interdisciplinary care planning and family-centered communication Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow unit-specific protocols Adapt quickly to changing patient assignments and float expectations while maintaining excellent clinical standards Why Join This Pediatric Travel Nurse Job?
