Registered Nurse (RN) - L&D

Labor & Delivery RN – Labor & DeliverySchedule: Some weekend shifts required.Assignment Details: Daily census: ~9. Expected patient ratios: Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3.Requirements: Compact nursing license. 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, particularly with high-risk patients. Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP. Experience with high-risk obstetric conditions (e.g., pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC). Must have experience managing insulin drips, magnesium sulfate, and neonatal resuscitation.Roles & Responsibilities: Provides care for patients during labor and delivery, ensuring safety and comfort. Manages labor process, including induction and augmentation. Monitors fetal heart rates and responds to maternal and fetal emergencies. Assists with cesarean sections and postpartum recovery. Collaborates with healthcare team members to implement care plans for high-risk obstetric patients. Educates patients and families regarding labor, delivery, and postpartum care.Compliance / Notes: Must request time off/scheduling restrictions upfront. May be required to work 3 of 5 major holidays. Orientation: 12 hours. May float between units and to sister facilities. Requires 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years.
