Paris Baguette is looking for experienced, energetic, dependable, and customer-focused professionals to join our bakery café team. We are seeking team members who take pride in exceptional hospitality, quality products, cleanliness, teamwork, and maintaining high brand standards in a fast-paced bakery café environment.

All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have previous experience directly related to the position for which they are applying.

GENERAL MANAGER

The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day operation of the café, including team performance, customer experience, sales, product quality, labor management, inventory, cleanliness, food safety, and execution of Paris Baguette standards.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Achieves financial objectives by developing and monitoring the performance of financial operational plans/budgets, sales & marketing plans to support the overall objectives of the Company. Controls labor and expenses in all areas of operations. Analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions.
• Lead all daily café operations and ensure consistent execution of brand standards.
• Recruit, onboard, train, coach, schedule, and develop team members.
• Create a positive, professional, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels based on business and production needs.
• Manage employee attendance, punctuality, scheduling, performance, and accountability.
• Conduct ongoing coaching and performance evaluations.
• Drive sales through exceptional customer service, product knowledge, suggestive selling, and local store initiatives.
• Monitor sales, labor, food costs, waste, inventory, and other operational performance measures.
• Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, organization, and product rotation.
• Ensure bakery, caking, barista, retail, and front-of-house teams work together effectively.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and café appearance.
• Oversee opening, closing, cash-handling, POS, deposit, and security procedures.
• Professionally resolve guest questions, concerns, and service recovery situations.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, health, safety, and company requirements.
• Lead by example and support all areas of the café when business needs require it.
• Communicate staffing, maintenance, operational, and business performance needs to ownership.
• Support catering, large orders, community events, and local business development.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous 2-3 years management experience in a restaurant, bakery, café, food service, retail, or hospitality environment is required.
• Demonstrated experience supervising and developing employees.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with scheduling, labor management, inventory, customer service, and daily operations.
• Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced environment.

CAKER

The Caker / Cake Decorator is responsible for producing and decorating cakes and desserts according to Paris Baguette recipes, presentation standards, and production requirements. This position requires previous cake decorating experience, attention to detail, consistency, creativity, organization, and the ability to maintain production pace.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Prepare, assemble, frost, fill, decorate, and finish cakes according to brand standards.
• Perform frosting, piping, sanding, writing, and decorating techniques.
• Ensure cakes are level, clean, consistent, and visually appealing.
• Follow recipes, specifications, portion standards, and decorating procedures.
• Maintain consistency in cake appearance, size, finish, and quality.
• Complete daily production requirements while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Maintain appropriate levels of ingredients and decorating supplies.
• Properly rotate, date, store, and handle ingredients and finished products.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, organized, and food-safe work area.
• Follow food-handling, allergen, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Monitor product quality and communicate concerns immediately.
• Complete special orders and customized cake requests when applicable.
• Minimize waste and responsibly use ingredients and supplies.
• Work collaboratively with bakery, retail, and management teams.
• Complete opening, production, cleaning, and closing responsibilities.
• Participate in ongoing training and coaching to improve consistency, speed, and technique.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous professional cake decorating, bakery, pastry, or comparable caking experience is required.
• Experience with frosting, piping, cake assembly, finishing, and decorating techniques.
• Ability to demonstrate decorating skills and produce consistent finished products.
• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to maintain production pace without sacrificing quality.
• Ability to follow recipes, specifications, and established brand standards.

BARISTA / RETAIL TEAM MEMBER

The Barista / Retail Team Member creates a welcoming guest experience while preparing beverages, processing transactions, maintaining product displays, packaging orders, and keeping the café clean and organized.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Warmly greet and acknowledge every guest.
• Provide friendly, attentive, and efficient customer service.
• Learn the menu and confidently answer guest questions.
• Recommend products and utilize appropriate suggestive selling techniques.
• Prepare coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and other café beverages according to standards.
• Accurately operate the Toast POS system and process customer payments.
• Package pastries, cakes, breads, beverages, catering orders, and other products.
• Prepare pickup, delivery, catering, and online orders accurately and on time.
• Verify orders before handoff.
• Stock and organize merchandise, beverages, packaging materials, utensils, and café supplies.
• Maintain attractive, organized, and properly stocked displays.
• Monitor product availability and communicate replenishment needs.
• Maintain cleanliness of counters, dining areas, beverage stations, displays, and equipment.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, allergen, and health requirements.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Perform assigned cleaning, stocking, and side work throughout each shift.
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Support coworkers during high-volume periods.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous barista, coffee shop, café, restaurant, bakery, retail food service, or comparable customer-service experience is required.
• Previous experience preparing coffee or espresso-based beverages is required.
• Customer service and cash-handling/POS experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain excellent service during high-volume periods.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
