Location Voorhees - 100 Bowman Drive Remote Type On‑Site Employment Type Employee Employment Classification Regular Time Type Full time Work Shift 1st Shift (United States of America) Total Weekly Hours 40 Job Information Job Summary Supervises the daily operations of the Laboratory Collecting and Receiving department to include, outstanding customer service, staffing, scheduling, and workflow. Collects and processes patient specimens in conformance with all laboratory regulatory requirements. Assists manager in clinical and administrative departmental functions. Communicates customer specific clinical instructions as required to ensure specimen integrity. Performs clerical functions as required. Position Responsibilities Collects and processes specimens in conformance with all laboratory regulatory requirements and performs activities related to laboratory testing. Supports department operations in staff scheduling, training, competency, procedure drafts, and evaluation of new products. Supervises daily workflow of the department, identifies and implements improvement opportunities that contribute to the betterment of the workstation, section, or overall operation. Provides Outstanding Customer Service by demonstrating effective and appropriate communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates, coaches and provides technical expertise to staff, students and trainees. Liaison between staff and manager. Assumes responsibility in the absence of Manager or Director. Identifies and implements improvement opportunities that contribute to the betterment of the workstation, section, or overall operation. Acts a resource to all hospital departments on behalf of the corporate Laboratory. Position Qualifications Required Must have a minimum of two years’ experience as a phlebotomist Must have outstanding oral communication skills. Must have demonstrated customer service skills. Ability to work in stressful environments. Good time management. Prior supervisory experience is preferred. Required Education High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree in a healthcare related field preferred. Training/Certification Licensure Completion of a phlebotomy training course or equivalent required. Valid Driver’s License required where off-site (non-hospital) specimen collections are a function of the position. Hourly Rate: $28.63 - $44.54The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
