Carpenter Foreman - $20-28/hr

Job Description

This role leads carpentry work on new high-end residential homes, overseeing projects from framing to detailed finish work. You will work hands-on while guiding a small crew, performing a wide range of carpentry tasks including interior, exterior, and occasional outdoor features such as facias and pergolas. The position suits a skilled carpenter who is proficient in at least one area of carpentry and eager to learn all aspects of the trade.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day carpentry activities on new high-end residential projects.

• Build and install wall, floor, and roof framing according to plans and specifications.

• Set trusses, beams, and other load-bearing components safely and accurately.

• Measure, cut, and assemble lumber and engineered materials using appropriate tools and techniques.

• Install sheathing (OSB, plywood) for walls, floors, and roofs to structural and quality standards.

• Perform interior and exterior finish carpentry, ensuring high-quality workmanship and clean finishes.

• Hang doors, install windows, and adjust hardware for proper operation and alignment.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 3+ years of carpentry experience in finish or rough carpentry.

• Proficiency in framing, including wall, floor, and roof systems.

• Experience with interior and exterior finish carpentry, including trim and hardware installation.

• Ability to build and install cabinetry, shelving, and built-in units.

• Strong blueprint reading skills and the ability to follow detailed construction drawings.

• Skilled in the safe use of hand and power tools, including saws and nail guns.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with high-end residential construction and custom finishes.

• Experience in cabinet building and detailed finish carpentry.

• Familiarity with painting and surface preparation on residential projects.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
