Schedule Requirements:

Schedule requirements will be discussed during the introductory call. We are looking for candidates who are willing and able to work evenings and weekends. Weekend and evening availability is important for this role.

About the Role:

Sugaring is an organic form of hair removal using natural ingredients that are safe for all skin types, especially sensitive skin. At SugaringNYC, we offer sugaring, lash lifts, brow laminations, tinting, and vajacial services.

We are looking for a hard-working, energetic, and client-focused professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, excellent communication, the ability to multitask, and a desire to help maintain a positive and professional salon environment.

This role is not just about performing services — it is about creating an exceptional client experience, building trust with guests, and helping clients feel comfortable, confident, and excited to return. We believe rebooking, memberships, product recommendations, and add-on services are all part of helping clients get the best possible results and maintain their routine.

Prior sugaring experience is not required. We have our own trainer who will work with you every step of the way. We understand sugaring can feel intimidating if you have not done it before, which is why we provide hands-on training, coaching, and support to help you become confident and successful.

• A current Oregon Esthetician License.

Core Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:

• Providing excellent client service from start to finish.
• Greeting clients warmly and explaining their service.
• Creating a comfortable experience, especially for first-time clients or those with sensitive skin.
• Performing services with professionalism, care, and attention to detail.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional treatment room before, during, and after each shift.
• Communication with team regarding service changes, client needs, or special requests.
• Learning and understanding our service menu, product line, discounts, packages, and memberships.
• Educating clients on products, packages, memberships, aftercare, and add-on services that may benefit them.
• Supporting client retention through excellent service and consistent rebooking.
• Presenting memberships, products, and add-on services in a natural, client-focused way.
• Meeting rebooking, membership sales, add-on service, and client retention goals.
• Maintaining Oregon state licensing requirements.
• Following all cleanliness and sanitation standards for rooms, tools, and equipment.
• Standing for extended periods of time during shifts.
• Contributing to a positive, team-oriented salon culture.

We provide training and support to help you succeed in rebooking, membership sales, add-on services, product knowledge, and client retention. Our goal is to help you feel confident in both your technical skills and your ability to build strong, lasting client relationships.
