Chipton-Ross is seeking a Machinist 1 for a contract opportunity in Hopkinton, MA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

• High school or technical school diploma with minimum 1 year experience in a machine shop environment.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Looking for a Machinist 1 to support our production department.

Responsibilities:

Cut copper waveguide on chop saw, de-burr waveguide, and apply braze stop to waveguide. Operates a variety of machine tools such milling machines, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions. Fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required. Typically requires completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

• Silver torch brazing experience,

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to sit or stand for 2 hours at a time and lift 50 pounds.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

High school degree or equivalent.

School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS

Full-Time 9/80 workweek. This position will serve on-site at Hopkinton, MA.

• Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
