The team’s intent is for this role to manage the 41 SQL databases while also overseeing architectural concerns for SharePoint and Power Apps. Will be required to go onsite in Washington, DC Position Responsibilities Administer, maintain, optimize, secure, and troubleshoot HQMC SQL Server databases. Manage and support the portfolio of SQL databases, including data modeling, normalization, schema management, data quality, and database standards. Provide senior technical input on SharePoint, Power Platform, reporting, and application data architecture. Develop and maintain backup, recovery, COOP, failover, and disaster recovery support processes. Support database migration, cloud migration, validation, and modernization activities. Manage database security administration, vulnerability remediation support, access controls, RMF evidence support, and audit support. Support developers through SQL programming, bug investigation, data loading, testing support, and database troubleshooting. Requirements Ability to administer Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher. Ability to manage SQL backup/recovery, database optimization, schemas, user access, maintenance, and security upgrades. Ability to support database and data architecture for SharePoint, Power Platform, dashboards, and custom applications. Ability to coordinate technical decisions across developers, systems engineers, RMF staff, and Government stakeholders. SQL Server administration. Database design and data modeling. Backup, recovery, COOP, and failover support. SQL performance optimization. Database security and access control. PowerShell and server administration. Data migration and validation. SharePoint/Power Platform data integration. Technical leadership and cross-functional coordination. Must be a US Citizen Must have an Active Secret Clearance Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, database administration, data engineering, cybersecurity, or related discipline 8+ years total IT/program experience 5+ years of experience in Federal or DoD IT programs 3 years of experience with Azure Database Administrator Associate and SQL Server Administrator experience Why Join Sierra7?
