Senior Oracle DBA
Supporting mission-critical financial databases for the DLA Financial Management Office. Responsible for database architecture, development, performance, security, and audit readiness support across RHEL and Windows environments. Key Personnel position requiring a signed Letter of Commitment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and implement physical, relational, and object-oriented databases across multiple platforms.
- Develop PL/SQL packages, SQL stored procedures, and database scripts supporting web-based financial reporting.
- Perform database performance tuning, object creation, and optimization.
- Execute monthly and weekly data imports and all aspects of ETL into Oracle (SQL Loader).
- Apply Oracle Critical Patch Updates and perform major release upgrades.
- Maintain database security management, data integrity, and backup/recovery (hot and cold).
- Develop and document logical and physical data models using Erwin.
- Support data mart population and dimensional models: aggregation, partitioning, indexing strategies.
- Provide second-level diagnosis of database problems; coordinate with Oracle Support for resolution.
- Support migration of Oracle database application servers to Military and Government Azure environments.
- Support federal audit readiness and reconciliation activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
- Five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Three (3) years of financial website experience within the Federal Government.
- Three (3) years of Federal Government audit readiness and reconciliation experience.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, WebLogic Scripting, Linux shell scripting, C#, HTML/JavaScript.
- Working experience with Oracle RDBMS, SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and data access optimization.
- Working experience with RHEL including shell scripting (Bourne, Korn).
- Experience with ArcSight and Splunk.
- DoD 8570/8140 Baseline Certification: IAT Level I minimum.
- DLA-approved Computing Environment (CE) certification.
- IT-II / Tier 3 (NACLC) investigation at time of proposal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Erwin data modeling and Oracle Enterprise Manager experience.
- Source control experience with Git.
