How You’ll Contribute A Medical Technologist who excels in this role: Verifies patient and specimen identification before performing any procedure. Performs common testing procedures and assesses and reports test results. Performs test result calculations as necessary. Performs and reports waived to highly complex laboratory tests on patients by departmental policies and procedures. Recognizes abnormal, unusual, or unexpected test results through correlation of data with common physiological conditions/age of the patient. Additional requirements include: License: Certifications: Medical Technologist licensure through ASCP or AMT preferred (licensure must reflect education requirements). One (1) year of experience in a medical laboratory preferred.
