Heavy Equipment Operator

Central Transfer & Recycle Center (CRC) , a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire a highly motivated & safety driven, Heavy EquipmentOperator, to work at our Central Transfer Station in Vancouver, WA. Pay range is $28.00/HR with and increase to $29.00/HR after 90-days pending a positive performance review. Schedule is Wednesday-Sunday Shift is 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Saturday, Sunday Safety Sensitive: Yes Qualified candidates must have 938 CAT Loader,308 CAT Excavator, Forklift, Backhoe,Yard Truck and 53ft chassis/ Trailer experience. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: REQUIRES ability to efficiently & safely operate 938 CAT Loader,308 CAT Excavator, Forklift, Backhoe,Yard Truck and 53ft chassis/ Trailer experience. Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Promotescontinuous improvementof workplace safety and environmental practices. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT: Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work;heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Ability to operate heavy equipment is required. Knowledge ofbasic computer skills. Knowledge of light andheavy equipment operationand maintenance. Knowledge of basicvehicle inspectionand maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels. Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 500-hours of Heavy Equipment Operating experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Heavy Equipment Operating certificationfrom an accredited trade school preferred . Basic knowledge of computer skills.
