Network Engineer II - Madison, WI - Contract - $45-55 Per HR The role involves designing, implementing, and securing network infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud environments. The position is remote, requiring residence in Wisconsin, with occasional on-site visits. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance network services and ensure compliance with security standards. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network components, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud networks. Collaborate with various teams to deliver secure and scalable network services. Plan and execute statewide network updates and infrastructure upgrades. Optimize and secure network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Monitor network performance and recommend improvements for reliability and security. Qualifications 11 years of experience in designing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure. Experience with LAN/WAN technologies, including routing, switching, and VPNs. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security protocols. Experience in regulatory compliance and network vulnerability management. Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
