Ultrasound Technologist (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer)

Join the team in Fort Walton Beach, FL. You will operate specialized ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic-quality images used by physicians. The role requires proficiency performing general and vascular ultrasound procedures, including ultrasound-guided interventions, in a hospital setting.

Minimum Qualifications

• ARDMS certification with Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential required.
• Minimum 2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience preferred; must be proficient with general and vascular ultrasound procedures to function independently on weekend and emergent shifts.
• Proficiency with ultrasound-guided procedures (thoracentesis, paracentesis, abscess drainage, and other US-guided interventions) required.
• Experience using GE LOGIQ series equipment preferred.
• Experience with MEDITECH and Centricity PACS documentation systems preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to adhere to department patient experience expectations and provide exceptional customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACR accreditation experience for vascular ultrasound preferred.
• Prior experience working in acute care hospital environments, trauma or emergency settings preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1830–0500.
• Schedule includes weekend coverage requirements and rotating on-call shifts and rotating holidays.
• Must be able to perform independently during weekend shifts and respond to emergent orders.
• Required uniform: black scrubs.
