Job Position: Saw Operator

Location: Columbus, OH 43230

Pay Rate: $21.00/hr

Shift: first shift

Description: Production Saw Operator:
• Supports Machine shop by running Production saw for optimal output and results.
• OTJ / cross training provided
• Will train and work in tandem with experienced and seasoned associates already on staff.

DAILY JOB FUNCTIONS include but are not limited to the following:
• Set up and operate production Saws.
• Load Materials / Unload product
• Retrieve programs
• Quality check with mics / calipers + inspection reporting
• Lifting
• Stacking
• Trouble shooting and quick resolution/turn around
• Cross training / support various Machine shop/Fabrication functions as required

MUST POSSESS - Required Skills sets:

^ Production Saw work / entry level machining experience: 2-3 years

^ Demonstrated ability to accurately read and interpret prints.

^ Change Fixtures, Part Programs, Set ups, Tools,

^ Knowledge of tool heights.

^ Mechanically inclined and able to use a variety of power and hand tools. ^ Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. with regularity.

^ Physical ability to stand, squat, bend, reach, pull and push during course of an 8 hour shift.

^ Attention to detail and fine tactical ability.

^ Ability to follow and retain process and instructions. ^ Organizational skills.

^ Pallet jack and/or forklift experience helpful.

^ Reliable/dependable attendance record. ^ Ability to take direction; working as a part of a team as well as independently.

^ Computer experience (Word/Excel, business software system).

PREFERRED: ^ Job Shop experience.

^ Previous Metal or Fabrication experience on any of the following is helpful: hardware insertion, deburring, finishing, Press Brakes, stud/spot welding, powder, paint prep., etc.

^ Knowledge of / experience with ISO standards and procedures.

^ Computer experience (Word/Excel, business software system). ^ Forklift experience helpful but not required.

^ Candidate lives in Columbus or surrounding areas with own reliable transportation.

EDUCATION:

^ Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
