Full-Time Position | In our SLO Office (no remote work) | Mon-Fri, 7am-4pm Salary Range: $27.00-33.00 Per Hour About Synergy Manufacturing Since 2005, Synergy Manufacturing has been an industry innovator and manufacturer of high-end automotive performance components for the Jeep, Dodge, and Ford platforms. These components are predominantly made in the USA and are primarily for the off-road aftermarket. In addition to suspension systems, Synergy also manufactures a complete line of heavy‑duty steering components, axle upgrades, skid plates, and other related products that dramatically improve vehicle on and off‑road capability, performance, and appearance. Job Description We are a fast‑growing brand in the aftermarket automotive world and are seeking an experienced Purchaser / Supply Chain Specialist to support and optimize our purchasing and supply chain operations. This role is responsible for managing supplier relationships, overseeing inventory planning, coordinating procurement activities, and ensuring uninterrupted material flow throughout production. The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing purchasing experience, ERP proficiency (preferably IQMS), and the ability to proactively solve supply chain challenges in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities Manage purchasing activities for raw materials, components, packaging, and shop consumables to support production schedules and inventory targets. Analyze inventory levels, demand forecasts, lead times, and usage trends to identify shortages and maintain appropriate stock levels. Create, review, and manage purchase orders within the ERP system while ensuring accuracy in pricing, quantities, and delivery schedules. Utilize IQMS ERP software to maintain supplier data, monitor purchasing activity, and generate reports. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while negotiating pricing, payment terms, freight arrangements, and delivery timelines. Coordinate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Receiving departments to ensure materials arrive on time and meet specifications. Monitor supplier performance and address issues related to late deliveries, non‑conforming materials, freight discrepancies, or invoice variances. Participate in quality and production meetings to identify supply chain risks and implement corrective actions when necessary. Research and source new suppliers, products, and services to support new product development and company growth initiatives. Collaborate with management to improve purchasing strategies, reduce costs, increase efficiency, and streamline supply chain processes. Coordinate inbound freight shipments and work with carriers to ensure timely deliveries and cost‑effective transportation solutions. Maintain accurate procurement records and assist with inventory audits, cycle counts, and reporting as needed. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control, supplier management, and operational efficiency. Required Experience and Skills High school diploma or equivalent 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, material planning, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Hands‑on experience using ERP systems, preferably IQMS Strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and production planning Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with suppliers and internal teams High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Preferred Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field Experience in automotive, fabrication, machining, or manufacturing industries Familiarity with MRP systems, inventory forecasting, and lean manufacturing principles Understanding of manufacturing processes, raw materials, and vendor management strategies Equal Opportunity Employer Synergy Manufacturing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
