Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Meditech is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• No current placement allowed at Program: TrioWFS Program - Lima Memorial Hospital.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Must be competent with cardiac medications (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardene, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex) and have knowledge of titration and application of these medications. - Must be competent in telemetry and possess knowledge of heart rhythms. - Must possess knowledge of signs/symptoms of stroke, recognize change in patient status and intervene.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - No call.

Floating Requirements: - Will float to units within scope of practice and skill set if needed; refusal to float may result in being sent home without pay for the entire work week.

7 days maximum time off

2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
