Estimator

A well established local company is looking to add an Estimator to their growing team. They are seeking someone with strong mechanical estimating experience.

Qualified candidates will have experience with most of the following:

Prepare accurate cost estimates for industrial process and power construction and maintenance projects to support bidding, pricing, and scheduling decisions
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications and develop material and labor pricing
Scope and issue RFPs to vendors and subcontractors, then analyze, compare, and select best-value proposals for inclusion in estimates
Attend pre-bid meetings and site walk-downs; escort subcontractors on visits to ensure accurate understanding of scope and conditions
Develop project schedules for proposals and provide detailed cost breakdowns plus written work-plan narratives
Participate in bid reviews and explain scope, costs, assumptions, and means/methods to management for approval
Apply historical cost data and account for safety and site-specific work rules in estimates
