Senior Project Manager

Location: Atlanta, GA Travel: Local project site travel required Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our growing commercial construction team. The ideal candidate will come from a general contracting background with experience managing commercial construction projects, preferably within retail, big-box retail, industrial, or other large-scale commercial sectors . This role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage project teams, subcontractors, owners, and stakeholders while driving projects to successful completion. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple commercial construction projects concurrently from preconstruction through final closeout. Oversee project budgets ranging from $5M–$50M+ while maintaining cost control and profitability objectives. Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring milestones and completion dates are achieved. Lead project teams, including Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and consultants. Maintain strong client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle. Review and negotiate contracts, change orders, procurement activities, and subcontractor agreements. Coordinate with field operations teams to ensure project execution aligns with budget, schedule, quality, and safety requirements. Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to mitigate potential impacts. Lead project meetings, owner meetings, and internal reporting processes. Monitor project financials, forecasting, billing, and overall project performance. Support business development efforts and help foster long-term client relationships. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred. Minimum of 8+ years of commercial construction project management experience with a General Contractor. Proven experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Strong background in commercial construction, with experience in retail, big-box retail, industrial, manufacturing, warehouse/distribution, or similar project types preferred . Demonstrated success managing multimillion-dollar projects and budgets ranging from $5M–$50M+ . Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, procurement, and project controls. Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills. Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite. What We're Looking For Proven leader with a strong general contracting background.
