Job Description \n Navitas Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: CVICU \n Discipline: RN \n Duration: 13 weeks \n 36 hours per week \n Shift: 12 hours, nights \n Employment Type: Travel \n \n Primarily ICU, but will float to CVICU \n Potential to float to Med/Surg Tele units in the event there is an operational need and low census. \n CVICU experience Required \n Purpose of Position \n Delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. \n Administers and monitors patient responses to all medications. Directs and guides patient care, teaching and activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing within the realm of Hospital Policy. \n Maintains and delivers the highest quality customer service standards. \n Description \n Properly utilizes the nursing process in caring for patients by maintaining relevant, accurate and current patient records as evidenced by Nursing PI activities. \n Provides documentation of assessment of the patient throughout the Hospital admission including physical, psychological, social dimensions and discharge plans. \n Summarizes assessment data and initiate plan of care with communication of pertinent data to allied patient care providers as evidenced by Nursing PI activities. \n Understands, assumes, and demonstrates proficiency in the role of charge nurse. \n Demonstrates proficiency in Computerized Nursing Informatics (information systems). \n Assumes role of resource person regarding patient care, orientation and teaching staff. \n Participates in identification of the aspects of care for the patient, indicators used to monitor the quality and appropriateness of care, and the evaluation of that care. \n Adheres to safety, blood/body fluid policies and procedures. \n Assesses personal learning development needs. \n Maintains documentation of current and ongoing professional development activities.
