Inside Business Development Representative (Onsite Chicago)

Come make an impact every day at Zebra. What We're Looking For The Sales Development Associate plays a critical role in generating and qualifying top‑of‑the‑funnel sales opportunities. This role focuses on outbound prospecting and marketing lead follow‑up, leveraging data insights and customer engagement tools. The position requires an individual with strong communication skills and a growth mindset, contributing to both immediate sales targets and long‑term business development goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage outbound prospecting to generate Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) using company sales plays. Conduct in‑depth account research to identify decision‑makers and key personas. Engage with Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs), ensuring a steady flow of high‑quality opportunities. Utilize CRM tools to track lead progress and maintain a robust sales pipeline. Collaborate with regional and global sales teams to align strategies and optimize lead conversion. Provide feedback to improve sales processes and share best practices within the team. Stay updated on industry trends, competitive analysis, and product developments. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. 0‑2 years in sales or business development roles. Less than 10% travel, primarily office‑based. Familiarity with CRM tools and virtual engagement platforms. Key Skills and Competencies Understanding of solution selling concepts and ability to overcome customer objections. Basic technical product knowledge and ability to translate features into benefits. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Incentive compensation includes commission for achieving quota at 25% in accordance with the applicable sales incentive plan.
