Senior Backend Developer - Python/Django

Salary: $100,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements:

• We require 5+ years of professional backend development experience, with strong, hands-on expertise in Python and the Django framework.
• We need deep knowledge of relational databases, ORM design, and query optimization.
• We expect a solid understanding of API design principles, including REST and/or GraphQL, along with backend security best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and with containerization using Docker is a strong advantage.
• We are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently to design solutions, not just carry out tickets.
• Experience building software and systems from the ground up, rather than only maintaining existing codebases, is required.
• Strong working knowledge of version control with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks is needed.
• Excellent problem-solving ability and a systems-level mindset are essential.
• A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is required.

• We design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems and RESTful or GraphQL APIs using Python and Django.
• We architect scalable data models and database schemas using PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar technologies.
• We build new internal applications, tools, and software systems from concept through deployment.
• We own the full backend lifecycle, including system design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• We optimize application performance, query efficiency, and system reliability at scale.
• We implement secure authentication, authorization, and data-handling practices.
• We integrate third-party services and APIs into our core systems.
• We write clean, well-documented, testable code and take part in code reviews.
• We collaborate with product and technical leadership to translate business needs into technical architecture.
• We diagnose and resolve complex system-level issues, from database bottlenecks to server infrastructure problems.
