KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Read, create, and interpret blueprints, component specifications, bills of materials, technical drawings, and schematics. Answer technical and procedural questions; teach improved processes and mentor team members. Drives project deadlines by coordinating actions, and reviewing open issues and action items. Directs activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, field service, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements. May direct/lead designers and drafters on project teams. Determines and documents product requirements by studying product concepts, features, specifications, sketches, regulatory requirements, and existing models; analyzing user and potential user input; conferring with design engineers, sales, and product managers. Evaluates prototype components and assemblies. Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; determining effects of design with respect to various factors such as temperature, pressures, corrosion, vibration, and radiation exposure; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes. Strong analytical foundation of various engineering disciplines such as mechanics, statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, vibration, and materials. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Follow procedures and work instructions in compliance with ISO 9001. REQUIREMENTS A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 5 years of practical experience and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding job expectations. Experience with FMEA, DOE, root cause analysis, GD&T, design for manufacturing and assembly, and statistical analysis techniques. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple tasks. Strong written and verbal communication skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr Vega Americas
