Location: Euclid, OH

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator/Grinder to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, inspecting, and maintaining grinding equipment to produce quality parts that meet print and specification requirements. The ideal candidate takes pride in precision work, follows safety standards, and works well in a team environment.

Essential Job Functions:

• Read and interpret blueprints and job routings to determine part specifications and order requirements
• Set up machines completely, including required tooling, adjustments, and gauging
• Verify first-piece production to ensure all dimensions conform to print specifications using proper measuring instruments
• Use gauges and other measuring devices to ensure parts meet specifications
• Inspect parts regularly throughout production to ensure print requirements are met
• Dress grinding wheels as required to maintain size and surface finish
• Tear down machine setups after job completion
• Clean machines and work areas daily; maintain an orderly workspace and keep floors free of oil
• Assist and instruct co-workers as needed
• Follow all safety rules and procedures; report unsafe conditions or actions to a supervisor
• Learn and perform preventative maintenance on machinery and tooling to prevent damage or loss
• Report any equipment or tooling issues requiring repair to the department supervisor

• Comply with all company policies, instructions, and directions
• Address production and quality issues with urgency and responsiveness
• Act in the company's best interest at all times
• Participate in relevant training and continuing education programs as identified by management

Qualifications:

• Previous manufacturing experience or on-the-job training preferred
• Knowledge of grinding processes and metal properties
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and documentation
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
• Ability to use and read various measuring devices
• Minimum of an 8th grade education
• Ability to pass a preemployment screening

Salary: $26-$32 an hour based on experience Shift 1st (Monday through Thursday 6 am to 4:30 pm)(OT as needed)
