Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Responsibilities
- Provide direct ED nursing care for acutely ill or injured patients, including ongoing assessment, triage, monitoring, and stabilization.
- Administer medications and IV therapies, manage IV access, and assist with procedural sedation and urgent interventions as ordered.
- Support ED procedures and diagnostics, including ultrasound-guided IV access, central lines, procedural sedations, TEE, bronchs, bubble studies, paracentesis, lumbar punctures, and blood patches.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interprofessional team; document care in Cerner; manage Pyxis-based medication administration; communicate with patients and families.
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and efficient throughput; participate in shift handoffs and discharge planning as appropriate.

Requirements
- Active RN license in California
- Ability to work nights on a 3x12 schedule
- ED or acute care nursing experience (1 year preferred)
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR and Pyxis medication system
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to function in a fast-paced ED environment
