Instructional Support Tutor (2026-2027 SY)

Spiller Elementary School

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Is at least 21 years of age.
2. Possesses a high school diploma or GED certificate.
3. Accurately follows oral and written directions.
4. Effectively controls a group independent of an immediate supervisor.
5. Previous school-based experience with children preferred, but not required.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Assist Title I and Classroom teachers with providing instruction to identified students.
• Possesses general knowledge, practices, and methods used in teaching
• Work with individual and small groups of students to reinforce skills
• Assists Title I teachers with PALS and assessments
• Provide program activities as provided by Title I or Classroom teachers
• Records data from tutoring sessions and lessons and shares with appropriate teachers
• Participates in professional development as assigned
• Maintains confidentiality of students and school-related information
• Performs other instructional duties as assigned by the Principal

Terms of employment: 182 days per year

Salary to be determined by the 2026-2027 Paraprofessional Salary Scale
