Lumber Yard Associate

Abita Springs, LA $14.00 per hour. Temp to perm.

We are looking for a Lumber Yard Associate to build your career in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This position offers hands-on work, consistent hours, and a clear path to permanent employment for the right candidate.

Schedule
  • Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Every Other Saturday: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM
What You'll Do
  • Build and prepare lumber loads for customer delivery and pickup
  • Load and unload freight with efficiency and care
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean lumber yard environment
  • Provide excellent customer service and support
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support operations
What We're Looking For
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs frequently and up to 90 lbs occasionally
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong work ethic with a self-starter mentality
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and team members
  • Dependable, responsible, and team-oriented
  • Contingent upon successful completion of a post-offer drug screen and background check
Physical Requirements This is an active, physical role requiring the ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors year-round.
