Compensation The starting pay range for this position is $24.25 to $26.25 per hour. The full pay range can extend up to $41.25 per hour based on labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. Job Overview The Food & Beverage Closing Team Leader manages closing shift activities, ensuring a guest‑first environment and smooth transition to the next day. The role includes overseeing operations, staffing, inventory, and safety protocols while maintaining brand standards. Responsibilities Deliver consistent guest experience commitments throughout the closing shift. Train and coach team members on Target’s guest experience standards and operational procedures. Review financial and team metrics to identify improvement opportunities and celebrate successes. Partner with other Food & Beverage Team Leaders to align on priorities and goals. Lead the closing team to execute closing tasks while maintaining guest service. Execute daily/weekly workload to achieve department and store sales goals, including merchandising and promotions. Assess and prioritize backroom and sales floor areas using F&B Standards. Assign daily tasks based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns. Validate progress and reinforce best practices through coaching. Conduct team huddles to communicate evening focuses and trends. Maintain a safe, food‑safe area through strong inventory and cleaning routines. Support hiring and onboarding of new team members. Assist with guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pickup, and drive‑up compliance. Enforce federal and state adult beverage laws and protect the store’s liquor license. Foster relationships with regional management and follow up on key takeaways. Promote safety culture, identify hazards, and support incident response. Qualifications & Expectations Minimum 18 years of age and high school diploma or equivalent. Prior retail and/or food service experience preferred. Lead and hold team members accountable. Proficient with handheld scanners and multiple frequency devices. Work independently and as part of a team. Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently. Remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment. Maintain a welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members. Effective communication skills. Access all building areas to respond to guest or team member issues. Accurately handle cash register operations as needed. Climb ladders and move merchandise up to 44 pounds. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and closing shifts. Comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer conditions.
