Step into an impactful role supporting student success as a Behavior Intervention Specialist in a dynamic educational environment near Frisco, TX. This full-time contract opportunity allows you to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff, fostering positive behavioral growth and advancing student achievement.
Your background in special education, counseling, social work, or behavioral analysis will be instrumental in designing and implementing effective intervention strategies. You’ll have an immediate, hands-on impact by developing individualized plans, providing guidance during critical student moments, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
- Valid Texas teaching certification with SPED endorsements
- Experience in special education, social work, counseling, or a similar field
- Background as a school counselor, LPC, BCBA, or related psychology/social work professional highly valued
- Ability to develop and support Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Skilled in conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs)
- Experience participating in ARD, IEP, RtI, and 504 meetings
- Comfortable supporting classroom teachers and leading crisis intervention as needed
In this position, you’ll:
- Collaborate with educators and families to create supportive learning environments
- Assess behaviors, gather and analyze data, and design tailored interventions
- Guide and coach staff in implementing positive behavior supports
- Serve as a key team member during meetings regarding student accommodations and progress
This opportunity offers a starting pay of $30 per hour, with potential for higher rates based on your experience and qualifications. The position is full time, 37.5 hours weekly, providing stability and the chance to make a real difference in students’ lives.
