Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled commercial electrician for a major project at Hagerstown Community College in Hagerstown, Maryland. The role involves installing conduit, pulling wire, and setting up panel boxes. Additionally, you will install LED lights, MC cables, and receptacles, with potential operations of an aerial lift.

Responsibilities

• Install conduit and pull wire for electrical systems.

• Set up and install panel boxes.

• Install LED lights, MC cables, and receptacles.

• Operate an aerial lift when necessary.

• Read blueprints and follow electrical schematics.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a commercial electrician.

• Experience in bending and installing conduit.

• Possess reliable transportation.

• Own a full set of electrical tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Aerial lift certification.

• Proficiency in blueprint reading.

• Experience with mechanical and wiring systems.

Work Environment

Work will take place in diverse commercial settings including retail fit-outs, warehouses, and new retirement centers. You may work both indoors and outdoors. The projects are expected to last until September/October, with opportunities for permanent positions. Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm. Required attire includes jeans, steel-toed boots, a T-shirt, high-visibility gear, a hard hat, and a harness.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
