Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Evansville, Indiana.

Position Highlights:

• Start Date: June 29, 2026 (Weekly June starts available)
• Shift: Days | 3x12 Hours | 06:30 - 19:00
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Hours: 36 hours guaranteed (48-hour work weeks available upon request)
• Location: Evansville, IN (Primary location: Midtown Campus)

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of solid Medical-Surgical hospital experience.
• Must have at least 1 completed travel contract.
• Trauma Level II facility experience is required.
• Recent EPIC electronic charting experience (an onsite checkoff class is required).
• Active Compact RN License in hand.
• Certifications: AHA BLS and NIHSS required.

Clinical Skillset & Patient Population:

• Primary Population: High-acuity Med/Surg patients (post-surgical care, UTIs, sepsis, high fall risks, COPD, and CHF).
• Core Skills: Remote telemetry interpretation, chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, straight cath/Foleys, ostomy management, Heparin drips, blood product administration, tracheostomy care, and PCA management.
• Note: This is a teaching hospital environment; willingness to occasionally precept students or new-hires is highly preferred.

Rules, Restrictions, & Floating:

• 40-Mile Local Radius Rule: Local candidates within 40 miles are not accepted for this travel contract.
• Floating Flexibility: Travelers are the first to float within their skillset. You must be willing to float to the Deaconess Newburgh campus (8 miles away) or the Deaconess Henderson, KY campus (11 miles away). A 2-hour notice is provided for cross-campus floating.
• Weekend/Holiday Commitment: 3 weekends out of every 6-week schedule block, plus an every-other-holiday rotation.
• Attendance Policy: Strict facility policy—3 unexcused call-ins can result in immediate termination.

Hours: 36 hours guaranteed (48-hour work weeks available upon request)
