About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years of experience; Post-operative open heart care experience; Critical care experience (highly preferred) License: Active Ohio or Compact RN License Certifications: BLS (AHA); ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: Chest tube and other drain management experience; Pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access; Proficiency in cardiac monitoring; Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities; Experience with various procedures and equipment related to cardiac care; Ability to float to all units within skill level Description: Functioning within the mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients during their shift. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria. Judgments are made based on scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries. Candidates can expect outreach within two hours via phone or text, with decisions typically made the same day or by the next business day. Applicants seeking more than seven days off or more than 50% of holidays off, or those with negative background or employment history are not eligible for the same processing timeline.
