You will play a crucial role in maintaining productivity, managing resources effectively, and fostering a positive working environment.**Duties and Responsibilities****:*** **Team Leadership:** + Supervise, train, and motivate production staff to ensure high levels of performance and morale. + Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring workload distribution is equitable and efficient. + Provide guidance and support to resolve any issues or conflicts within the team.* **Production Oversight:** + Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with established procedures and quality standards. + Coordinate with other departments such as maintenance, quality control, and logistics to optimize production flow. + Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.* **Resource Management:** + Assist in scheduling production activities and allocate resources (including manpower, equipment, and materials) efficiently to meet production targets. + Identify opportunities for improvement in production efficiency and cost reduction.* **Quality Assurance:** + Conduct regular inspections of products and processes to ensure compliance with quality specifications. + Address any deviations from quality standards promptly, implementing corrective actions, as necessary. + Collaborate with the quality control team to implement and maintain quality management systems.* **Documentation and Reporting:** + Maintain accurate records of production activities, including production volumes, downtime, and quality metric in production reporting system (Redzone). + Prepare reports on production performance, identifying trends, issues, and areas for improvement. + Communicate production status and issues to management in a timely manner.* Flexibility to work non-standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.* Performs all other duties as assigned.**Minimum Job Requirements:****Education/Certifications and Experience:*** High school diploma or GED, required.* Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Manufacturing Management, or a related field, preferred.* Previous experience in food manufacturing or a similar industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role, preferred.**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*** Proficient use of computer, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote), and other related applications or software.* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.* Solid understanding of production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations in the food industry.* Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.* Bilingual is a plus.**Supervisory Responsibilities****:*** Work requires supervising and monitoring performance for a regular group of employees or a work unit, including providing input on hiring / disciplinary and work objectives / effectiveness, and realigning work as needed.**Working Conditions and Physical Effort:*** Work involves daily exposure to unusual elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, darkness and/or noise.
