Assistant Teacher- Part Time

Ohio University is hiring a part-time Assistant Teacher to work in the Child Development Center. The role involves teaching and caring for young children using developmentally appropriate practices, supporting curriculum and licensure documentation, and communicating with families while modeling best practices for teacher candidates. Highlights Teach and care for young children following Early Learning Content Standards and licensing rules. Plan and implement classroom routines and educational activities. Assume full classroom responsibility for two hours daily and cover for the lead teacher as needed. Collaborate with the Assistant Professor of Instruction on documentation for licensing and accreditation. Engage in professional development and complete required licensing training. Use communication skills to maintain relationships with families and Early Childhood Education teacher candidates. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and less than 3 years of professional experience or equivalent. Preferred experience includes Reggio Emilia inspired work, emergent curriculum, and nature-based education.
