Hiring Agency General Government Cabinet | Kentucky Public Pensions Authority Location 1260 Louisville RoadFrankfort, KY 40601 USA Description Kentucky Public Pensions Authority (KPPA) is currently seeking Retirement Systems Counselor I in the Divisionof Employer Reporting, Compliance, and Education. Located in Frankfort, Kentucky, KPPA is responsible for theinvestment of funds and administration of pension and health insurance benefits for nearly 444,000 state andlocal government employees, state police officers, and non-teaching staff of local school boards and regionaluniversities. Daily system activities, including administrative support, investment management, benefitscounseling, accounting, payroll functions, and legal services, are performed by a staff of professionalemployees working as the KPPA. KPPA covers three separate systems: Kentucky Employees Retirement Systems(KERS), County Employees Retirement System (CERS), and the State Police Retirement System (SPRS). This position is in a team-oriented environment that provides opportunities for growth and career advancement. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist employers with interpretation of retirement laws and regulations.
- Perform error correction to records posted by employers.
- Perform adjustments to records posted by employers.
- Interact with employers via phone and email to request information to correct records and to explainissues created by inaccurate reporting.
- Educate employers on corrective measures to resolve and prevent future errors.
