JOB DESCRIPTION:
Summary
Oversee and manages all day-to-day production operations in the assigned production area. Contributes to production planning processes. Allocates personnel resources, proposes procedures, improvements, and implements technical infrastructure. Ensures adherence to established quality guidelines and production safety requirements. Determines manufacturing priorities based on established weekly production schedules. Make daily assignments, directs all related personnel actions. Advises staff, executes performance measurements, interprets specifications and makes judgements about the acceptability of production that is in process. Leads all Production Operators in production area assigned. This is a working supervisory role.

• Provide planning to ensure production schedules are met.
• Lead the training and qualification process of all direct reports.
• Facilitate Team meetings to communicate departmental KPI measurements.
• Lead and solicit continuous improvement ideas from team members.
• Conduct departmental audits (safety, 5S)
• Ensure employees are following established procedures and standard work processes.
• Address employee performance issues in a timely manner.
• Manage time and attendance system for direct reports.
• Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable.
• Conduct incident investigations.
• Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.
• Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions.
• Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree.

Work Environment :
The employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e. noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. The employee will also be required to perform duties on a computer in an office setting.

Required Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. 3-5 years of relevant experience in management, planning or related capacity

Preferred Education and Experience

1. Lean Manufacturing, 5S, SAP systems
2. Associates Degree in Process, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, with experience in planning or related capacity in a manufacturing environment
