Security Guard - Grocery Store - Full Time

Job Description

As a Security Guard - Grocery Store - Full Time in Dayton, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Guided by a caring culture, teamwork, reliability, agility, innovation, and integrity, you will support a welcoming environment for shoppers and staff.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor customer and visitor activity, assist with access and directional questions, and communicate with store personnel regarding security-related issues or unusual conditions.
Support loss prevention awareness by observing for suspicious behavior, responding to alarms and/or calls for service, and following post orders for retail operations.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
